ASPIRETV’S COMMITMENT TO HBCU PROGRAMMING CONTINUES WITH NEW SEASONS OF FASTBREAK AND HBCU 101
ATLANTA – Feb. 17, 2022 – AspireTV, the network that celebrates and reflects Black culture and urban lifestyle, announced today that the HBCU Gameday series are returning on the network. Fast Break is currently airing Sundays at 10 a.m. ET and HBCU 101 will be back with new episodes beginning Sunday, Feb. 20 at noon E.T.
“HBCU sports and culture is a big part of the heart and soul of AspireTV’s programming promise,” said Tina Rodriguez, senior director, programming & acquisitions, AspireTV. “We’re thrilled to continue to be the home of Fastbreak and HBCU 101 and to serve as a platform for our viewers to delve into the world of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.”

HBCU 101 is a television series that highlights Historically Black Colleges and Universities. These highlights are obtained via one-on-one interviews with prominent leaders and HBCU alumni, in addition to interactions with the student body, various student organizations and campus leaders, all to shine a positive light on these institutions. HBCU 101’s mission is to enlighten the masses on HBCUs by highlighting their activities, organizations, persons, and services to uplift and connect communities.
On Fastbreak, HBCU Gameday takes you inside MEAC and SWAC basketball matchups as teams navigate the season headed toward the NCAA Tournament.
